This quantitative study examined the inclusion of music videos in the instruction of the Filipino language among elementary teachers in selected schools. It sought to assess these videos' applicability in enhancing language learning, specifically in understanding, vocabulary, and overall fluency. The study viewed the use of multimedia materials in assisting early childhood language development and acquisition. From 70 elementary teachers interacted with the researchers' music videos, which contained lively rhythms and educational material crafted to make learning interactive and exciting.
The study lasted 30 minutes and involved watching a video and responding to an evaluation form. It captured the modes of education that involve technology. Blending music videos with traditional instruction is an experiment with a novel teaching style congruent with elementary learning styles.
The findings of this study are expected to inform educators about the practical applications and acceptability of music video integration in the Filipino subject. By emphasizing the areas of strength and weakness and opportunities for improvement, this study contributes to the innovative strategies that researchers and educators will implement. To cater to the diversity in learning styles, the music video may serve as a valuable tool to promote Filipino language acquisition and proficiency learning in early education.
